Classic Physique Prep: Height Caps, Waist, and Nutrition Strategy

Classic Physique rewards golden-era proportions within height/weight caps — not maximum mass. You cannot prep like Open and simply scale down.

Respect the cap

Know your height class maximum weight. Gaining excessive off-season mass makes the cut harder and can leave you flat on stage.

Visual priorities

Shoulder-to-waist ratio, quad sweep without blocky legs, and mandatory pose endurance. Cardio and posing volume are part of nutrition strategy.

Nutrition pacing

Protein 2.2–2.4 g/kg, deficit adjusted every 2 weeks, refeeds only if your coach uses them — individual response beats copy-paste charts.
